Gloria Law has recently signed several cases where it is alleged that intraocular injections of the drugs Lucentis and/or Avastin administered by Dr. Salomon Melgen, an ophthalmologist and retinal specialist practicing at Vitreo-Retinal Consultants of the Palm Beaches, Vitreo Retinal Consultants Eye Center and the Melgen Retina Eye Center are linked to cases of severe infections in the eye (endopthalmitis).
This very serious inner-eye infection can cause decreased visual acuity, retinal damage or hemorrhage, permanent eye damage or even blindness.
We are also investigating several cases involving the same practices that allege that Dr. Salomon Melgen administered unnecessary and/or too frequent treatments to patients including laser treatment to the eyes and intraocular injections.
