If you own a farm tractor and the operation of the tractor harms someone, you are strictly liable for the injury, according to the Florida Supreme Court opinion issued on January 19,2012. A car is the best example of a dangerous instrumentality. If you allow someone to drive your car, and they cause an accident, you are liable, period, simply because you own the car and allowed a person to use this dangerous instrumentality.
