Have you ever signed paperwork without reading the fine print? Well don’t because you could be signing away your rights. A recent Florida District Court held a family waived their rights when they signed a document that had a “release from liability” clause buried in the paperwork. If you go to a doctor’s office, hospital, camp, church, hotel, theme park, cruise, etc, and they ask you to sign something that releases them from liability for negligence, simply cross out that portion of the document, initial and sign. If they refuse to offer services, go somewhere else.
